At Planora, we combined operations research, AI and applied mathematics to improve workforce planning and scheduling.
The work
The problem was concrete: how to make better decisions when demand, staffing needs, constraints and costs interact. I worked across product and company leadership as we developed optimization software for those challenges.
Planora was acquired by RedPrairie in July 2012. The team’s work continued through a Montréal center of excellence and later through JDA.
My contribution
- Led product development and company direction.
