Privacy
A simple, respectful website.
This site is designed to be read without an account.
Audience measurement, with your permission
With your permission, we measure readership across the English and French versions: pages viewed, visits, engagement and the sites that bring readers here. Measurement starts only after you select “Accept”. Declining does not affect access to any content.
Audience measurement uses cookies with random identifiers and processes technical information such as browser, device and approximate location. Advertising personalization and optional cross-device signals are disabled. We do not send your email address, site-search text, URL query parameters or fragments to our measurement provider. Referring websites are recorded by domain, without their page paths or query strings.
With your consent, enhanced measurement also records scrolling, clicks on external links, file-download clicks and playback of supported embedded videos. It does not record form interactions or your searches on this site. We also count clicks to open email, project pages and research reports. These indicate interest; they do not prove that a message was sent or a report was read.
Your choice and storage
Your browser remembers your choice for 180 days. You can change it at any time using “Privacy preferences” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and removes this site’s audience-measurement cookies; it does not erase data already processed. audience-measurement cookies expire after 90 days and are not extended on each visit. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page.
Hosting providers may process standard request logs to deliver and secure the site, independently of your measurement choice. Our audience measurement provider is Google Analytics. It processes this data on its infrastructure, which may be outside your country.

External services
Links to LinkedIn, publishers and video services open their websites, which have their own privacy practices. The historical research reports include optional Tableau and Flourish charts. They load from those providers only after you choose “Load original chart.”
Contact
Email sent to the contact address is handled through Google Workspace. Messages sent through LinkedIn are handled by LinkedIn. This site does not collect or store contact-form submissions. Opening the signup form connects your browser to Brevo, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details. If you subscribe, your email address and the language of the page where you subscribe are sent to Brevo to confirm your subscription, deliver newsletters in that language and handle unsubscribe requests. The form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser information to distinguish visitors from bots. Opening the form does not enable this site’s optional analytics. Your signup email address is not sent to this site’s audience-measurement provider.
