Read each edition on its own terms

The global talent reports evolve from studies of research expertise and professional profiles toward a broader view of roles across the AI value chain. Samples, sources and definitions change between editions. Their headline numbers should not be treated as a single directly comparable time series.

Distinguish the study year from the data period

The Canadian ecosystem reports map companies, research and investment. In particular, the 2019 ecosystem report studies January through December 2018. Each report’s methods and caveats explain what its figures include and what they cannot establish.

Use the research with its credits and context

These are historical findings, not estimates of today’s AI workforce. The reports retain their original illustrations and references, with visible author credits and citation notes. The downloads remain unchanged; corrected resource links accompany PDFs that still contain links to the former domain.
